WHY DO WE FAST THE DAY OF ASHURA?

WHY DO WE FAST THE DAY OF ASHURA?

WHY DO WE FAST THE DAY OF ASHURA  REASON
WHY PROPHET MUHAMMAD ﷺ FASTED THE
DAY OF AASHOORAA,
IT'S THE GREAT DAY WHEN ALLAH SAVED MOSA عليه السلام AND HIS
PEOPLE, AND DROWNED PHARAOH AND HIS PEOPLE.
MOSA عليه السلام FASTED ON THIS
DAY IN GRATITUDE TO ALLAH
SUBHANAWATAALA.
SO WE MUST FAST IT OUT OF
RESPECT FOR IT.

FASTING THE DAY OF
'ASHOORA' EXPIATES SINS FOR THE PAST YEAR.
NARRATED BY MUSLIM1162.
THE PROPHET MUHAMMADﷺ SAID:
"FASTING THE DAY OF
"'ASHOORA' I HOPE ALLAAH
WILL EXPIATE THEREBY
FOR THE YEAR THAT CAME BEFORE IT.”

PROPHET MUHAMMAD ﷺ
WAS KEEN TO FAST THIS DAY
SAHIH BUKHARI 1902
THE PROPHET MUHAMMAD ﷺ
USED TO BE VERY KEEN
TO MAKE SURE HE FASTED
ON THE DAY OF 'ASHOORA'
BECAUSE OF ITS GREAT STATUS.

RECOMMENDED TO FAST
BOTH 9TH AND 10TH
SAHIH MUSLIM 1134
THERE ARE DIFFERENT WAYS
OF FASTING'ASHOORA', THE
LEAST OF WHICH IS TO FAST
THE TENTH ONLY, BUT IT IS
BETTER TO FAST THE NINTH AS WELL.

MY DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS MAKE SURE YOU FAST THIS DAY AND REMIND IT TO YOUR DEAR ONES TOO.

HOW TO INCREASE RIZQ (PROVISIONS)?

12 WAYS TO INCREASE RIZQ (PROVISIONS) One of the 99 Names of Allah is Ar-Razzag ( الرَّزَّاقُ ) meaning The Total Provider / The Sustainer. Allah is the One who provides everything we need to live in this world. These are called Rizq, generally meaning Provisions. Rizq is not just wealth and food, but also everything else that you have been blessed with in your life; from people, to assets, to nature, to the clean air you breathe to everything luxurious you possess, materialistically as well as intellectually and spiritually. From the eyes that you are reading this with, to the laptop/phone you are reading this on, to the small pencil that lays unnoticed on your desk, all is from Allah swt. Let's take a look at ways to increase our Rizq. 1. TAWAKKUL (RELIANCE UPON ALLAH ALONE) Umar Ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that he heard the Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say, "If you would trust in Allah as He truly should be trusted,
