VIRTUES OF FORGIVING

VIRTUES OF FORGIVING

CLOSER TO TAQWA
Pardoning brings you
closer to Taqwa. Do not hold amy ill feelings in
your heart towards anyone who has wronged
you, even if it is difficult to let it go. This is
why this behavior is closer to Taqwa, as you are
restraining and suppressing your feelings (of
resentment) and seek Allah's pleasure alone.
"And to forego it is nearer to righteousness.
(Quran 2:237)

PRAISED BY ALLAH
Allah praises those who suppress their anger
and pardon people. Forgiving the person who
has oppressed or harmed you and overlooking
their wrongs are indeed
very difficult things to do, but the praise and
pleasure of Allah is greater.
and who restrain anger and who pardon
the people - and Allah loves the
doers of good." (Quran 3:134)

SHOWS FIRM DETERMINATION
Being patient and then forgiving and
overlooking is pardoning, which shows a
firm determination because it is not an
easy act to practice and adopt.
"And whoever is patient and forgives -
indeed, that is of the matters
requiring] determination.
(Quran 42:43)

MERCY OF ALLAH
Allah advises you to pardon and overlook.
If you do that, Allah will pardon and
forgive your sins and be even more merciful
to you. The way you deal with people is
how Allah will deal with you But if you
pardon and overlook and
forgive - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving
and Merciful." (Quran 64:14)

GREAT REWARD
If you pardon and make reconciliation
(compromise), then your reward is due from
Allah-surely an abundant, great reward
since it is coming from the Most Perfect and
the Most Giving, Allah
but whoever pardons and makes
reconciliation - his reward is (duel from
Allah." (Ouran 42:40)

About MATAM IN ISLAM RIGHT OR WRONG

About MATAM IN ISLAM RIGHT OR WRONG Matm is a ritual done by Shia Muslims on 10th of Ashoora, in the grief of the Martyr Hussain رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ To show their grief they mourn and harm themselves by striking sword on their body or slapping their face and beating their chest. This action of their is unapproved from the Islamic Sources (The Quran & Sunnah) and it is considered as Haram and Bidah (Innovation). The Prophet did not do them, nor did any of his companions. None of his companions did them when he or anyone else died, although the loss of prophet Muhammad was greater than the death of Hussain  رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ. Prophet ﷺ,  strictly forbade harming oneself over the loss of someone dear to us and said: "He is not one of us who strikes his cheeks, rends his garment, or cries with the cry of the Jaahiliyyah." (Sahih Bukhari : 1294) Infact these Shia do matm just as a showoff, because the loss of  Hussain (رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ) is a lesser loss than the...
