Allah Says in the Holy Quran
Chapter 62 Surah Jumua verses 9-11:
"O believers! When the call to prayer is made
on Friday, then proceed "diligently' to the
remembrance of Allah and leave off your
business. That is best for you, if only you knew.
Once the prayer is over, disperse throughout
the land and seek the bounty of Allah. And
remember Allah often so you may be successful.
But when they see some bargain or some
amusement they disperse headlong to it
and leave thee standing. Say: "The (blessing)
from the Presence of Allah is better than any
amusement or bargain! And Allah is the Best
to provide (for all needs)." To leave any and all
worldly pursuits and earnestly attend the Friday
mid-day sermon and congregational prayer is an
absolutely obligatory Command of the Lord Most
High upon those who have professed belief in
Him and the Last Day.
It is fard on every muslim, except
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ Said
#Jumu'ah is a duty that is required of
every Muslim in congregation, except
four:
a slave,
a woman,
a child or
one who is sick."
Narrated by Abu Dawood 91067). Al-Nawawi
said in al-Majmoo' (4/482): its isnaad is saheeh
according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs
(al-Bukhaari and Muslim).
PUNISHMENT OF MISSING FRIDAY PRAYER

Narrated Al-Ja'd ad-Damri:
He who leaves the Friday prayer
(continuously) for three Friday on
account of slackness, Allah will print a
stamp on his heart.

Punishment of missing Friday prayer

"Whoever abandons Friday (prayer)
three times, for no necessary reason,
Allah will place a seal over his heart.'
