The Punishment of Grave

THE
PUNISHMENT OF
GRAVE

Grave punishment also knows as Adhaab of Qabr, it means to get punished in Grave for the prohibited things you did during your lifetime.

A LIAR

A liar who spreads lies which are carried from him in all directions.

His mouth, nose, and eyes are continuously ripped, with a sharp hook, to the back of his head.

Sahih al-Bukhari 7047

NEGLECTING
SALAH

One who rejects the Quran after knowing it, and sleeps through the prescribed prayers.

Will be lying down, with another man standing over him, holding a big rock. He will throw the rock at the man's head, smashing it. The rock will roll away, and the one who threw it followed it, and pick it up. By the time he came back to the man, his head had been restored to its former state. Then he (the one who had thrown the rock) did the same as he had done before.

Sahih al-Bukhari 7047

ZINA

Men and women who indulge in zina (adultery).

They are put, naked, into a hole that resembles a baking pit, narrow at the top and wide at the bottom. Underneath the pit is a raging fire; whenever it flares up, they scream and rise with it until they almost fall out of the pit. As it subsided, they return (to the bottom)

Sahih al-Bukhari 7047

RIBA (INTEREST)

He swims in a river of blood, on whose bank stands a man with a pile of rock.

Every time he tries to exit from the river, the man throws a rock into his mouth, causing him to fall back to the center of the river.

Sahih al-Bukhari 7047

ARROGANT

Whilst a man was dragging his lower garment out of pride, the earth swallowed him up and he will continue sinking into the earth until the Day of Resurrection.

Sahih al-Bukhari 5345

URINE

One who does not clean himself from traces of urine.

Most of the torment of the grave is because of urine but it is not specified what form of punishment he receives.

Sunan In Majah 348

KAFIR/HYPOCRITE

Furnishings from Hell are prepared for him; he is clothed with fire; a door to Hell is opened for him; his grave is made narrow for him; he is struck with a great hammer which, if a mountain were to be struck with it, it would turn to dust; and he is given the tidings of torment in the Hereafter. Hence he will wish that the hour would never come.

Sahih al-Bukhari 1374

allaahumma innee a‛oodhu bika min ‛adhaabil-qabri, wa a‛oodhu bika min fitnatil-maseeḥ-id-dajjaal, wa ’a‛oodhu bika min fitnatil-maḥyaa wal-mamaat

allaahumma innee a‛oodhu bika minal-ma’thami wal-maghram

O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the torment of the grave, and I seek refuge with You from the torment of the Fire, and I seek refuge with You from the trials of life and death, and I seek refuge with You from the evil of the Al-Masihid-Dajial

HOW TO INCREASE RIZQ (PROVISIONS)?

12 WAYS TO INCREASE RIZQ (PROVISIONS) One of the 99 Names of Allah is Ar-Razzag ( الرَّزَّاقُ ) meaning The Total Provider / The Sustainer. Allah is the One who provides everything we need to live in this world. These are called Rizq, generally meaning Provisions. Rizq is not just wealth and food, but also everything else that you have been blessed with in your life; from people, to assets, to nature, to the clean air you breathe to everything luxurious you possess, materialistically as well as intellectually and spiritually. From the eyes that you are reading this with, to the laptop/phone you are reading this on, to the small pencil that lays unnoticed on your desk, all is from Allah swt. Let's take a look at ways to increase our Rizq. 1. TAWAKKUL (RELIANCE UPON ALLAH ALONE) Umar Ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that he heard the Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say, "If you would trust in Allah as He truly should be trusted,
